Wibaux Building

The Wibaux Building started out as the home of the [[State National Bank]] and just about every fraternal organization in town. It was built by [[Pierre Wibaux]], president of the bank and served as his business home until his death in 1913.

Destroyed by fire June 9, 1964. Almost everyone who lived in Miles City at the time remembers seeing the fire, even the smallest children turned out to witness the tragedy. At the time, the building was partially vacant. There were a few businesses on the ground floor. The Miles City Club occupied part of the 2nd floor and was able to save most of the Club contents, including the original Huffman photos and the personalized photograph of Teddy Roosevelt. That photo still hangs in the Club and there are signs of water damage on it from the fire. Apartments were on the 3rd floor.
