'''14. Miles City's Postmasters''' The following is a list of the persons who have served Miles City as postmaster: Louis Payette (at Old Town) Charles W. Savage Nathan Borchardt John McAusland Charles Seyde E. S. Beeman Ada M. Bennett John S. Towers Thomas Gibb R. H. Michaels Thomas Butler William J. Dunn The first post office was established at "Old Town" and the office was moved to the present site of Miles City in 1877 -- having been located on Main Street at different locations, until the building of the premises now known as the Lewis & Clark apartments. It was located on these premises until the completion of the present Federal Building.
