'''38. Jimmy Hanrahan was One of Them''' In relating the names of the automobile dealers in one of our recent articles on the early history of the automobiles in this community, as told to us by Ross Calvin Sr., we seemed to have overlooked a dealership or two. We stated in the article that the material for these articles was taken mostly from memory, and there might have been some omissions. Jimmy Hanrahan stopped us on the street the other day and told us he wanted to fill in a little on our story, inasmuch as we had left out one important person from among the dealers--no less a person than Jimmy himself. He states that we failed to list among the dealers, Buhler Brothers who operated the garage opposite the Presbyterian Church for a while under the name of the Highway Auto Company, and this same concern also ran the Olive Garage. According to Jim, Russell Wiley, Fax Brown and Hanrahan bought out the Highway Auto Company, who were then handling Chevrolet and Nash. Brown and Hanrahan bought Wiley's interest shortly afterwards, and it was not long until Brown bought out Hanrahan. Our apologies to Jim. If there are others among our readers who can "fill in a gap" for us, or correct us on some statement, we welcome the information.
