The stage leaves Miles City Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 8 o'clock. For passage or any information apply to  [[A. J. Maxwell]], Prop., Main Street, Miles City, M.T. (Ad in YJ 19 Oct 1882). (Assuming a one day there, one day back schedule, this would put one coach in continuous service except for Sundays. Perhaps they had two coaches and two drivers?) If Maxwell was the only driver, he wouldn't have time to run the saloon and it would have been exhausting to drive six days a week, every week. The route was about 200 miles and would have to travel an average of 8.5 miles per hour to make the trip in 24 hours. Unless they could average twice that, they must have run at least two stages.
