Place of Birth: Down Date of enlistment: 11 November 1872 Age given at enlistment: 24 Rank: Private Company: M Location on 25 June 1876: Uncertain - almost certainly in the battle. A Cloth Finisher from County Down William Robinson had blue eyes, dark brown hair, a fair complexion, and was 5′ 9″ tall. Roger Williams writes: “Robinson’s name is in the ‘Present’ column of the Co. M muster roll June 30 and he is shown on extra duty in the medical dept. Cos. M and G are the only two troops that show their wounded present on June 30; the other troops show their wounded absent.” He was discharged on 30 September 1878 at Fort Ruhlen, Dakota Territory, and died on 4 February 1928 at Seattle, Washington.
